Our goal is to explore social issues—and how they relate to race, gender, class, sexuality, ability and age—through data-driven discussions and information visualizations.

How do numbers help us better understand how these systems of oppression overlap? And how can we use data as a driver for socially impactful story-telling? We hope to use this blog as a space where we can learn to make use of data-journalism and mining tools to explore the issues that matter most to us.
